The Multnomah County Office of the Artist in Residence offers the opportunity to form opinions, spout theory and be critical of many types of aesthetic, artistic and irrational behaviors seen in everyday life. Just fill out the simple application form and, when approved, you will be empowered to act as a Field Agent of the Office of the Artist in Residence.
By order of Multnomah County Code 2000.001(a), the Office of the Artist in Residence may deputize qualified citizens to uphold the standards of the Artistic Licensing Act. Qualified representatives act as Agents in the Field for the purpose of making critical judgments, aesthetic distinctions and issuing commendations for excellence and citations for violations of, or infractions in, the artistic code.
Citizens interested in serving the pursuit of artistic vigilance should become Agents of the Office of the Artist in Residence, and obtain an Artistic License.
